New food labelling Regulations commence on the 1st July 2018. For importers of food products, the “Country of Origin Statement” should be shown on all imported products. From July 1st, products which were packaged and labelled prior to that date can still be sold, however substantial penalties apply for non-compliance where products have been manufactured after that date.
